Why we teach in sessions
Two 5-month sessions a year
Real skills take time. Our programs run in full sessions so children build momentum, confidence and friendships, and experience each class as its instructor designed it. Enrollment is reserved for the full session.

Who creates the classes?
Every class is designed and led by an independent professional who owns their craft. Our instructors write their own curriculum and teach in the style that brings out their best work, and Altered Course Venue provides the space, small class sizes and a welcoming setting.
Can new students join after a session has started?
Yes, when space allows. This is a one-time exception for families new to our programs, so more children can join without waiting for the next session while we keep class sizes small and intentional. Each child is supported in joining the group.
Do I need to commit to the full session?
Yes. Our programs are structured as 5-month sessions to ensure consistency, confidence-building and meaningful progress, so children can fully experience the class as it was designed.
What if we miss a class?
We understand families are busy. Because classes follow a structured group program, individual makeups are limited. When a class is missed, we help your child smoothly rejoin and stay connected to the session.
Can my child continue after a session ends?
Absolutely. Many families return session after session. Programs are designed so children can build on prior experience and keep growing at their own pace.
Are your instructors background checked?
Yes. Every instructor is carefully selected and completes a thorough background check before leading any program.
What ages are your classes for?
Our classes serve children from birth through age 16. Each class is designed for specific age ranges, with activities that meet children where they are developmentally.
