She has homeschooled her two children and taught a wide range of classes at homeschool co-ops. Danielle has also led public speaking seminars\, tutored math and English\, and guided book discussions. She loves mentoring families new to homeschooling\, sharing practical advice and support. \nAs an academic unschooler\, Danielle follows each child’s unique “rabbit trails” to nurture their individual interests. She believes critical thinking and the ability to connect ideas across subjects are key skills for lifelong learning. Through hands-on\, interdisciplinary activities\, Danielle encourages students to think deeply beyond the page and get excited about learning. \nFlexible Sibling Placement – We Make It Easy! \nAt Altered Course\, we understand that family schedules can be tricky and we’re here to help! If a sibling would like to join a class that’s slightly outside their age range (a year or two older or younger)\, they are absolutely welcome. \nAs long as you feel your child is ready maturity-wise\, our instructors are fantastic at accommodating mixed-age groups and making sure everyone is engaged\, supported\, and having fun.
